Two years ago we started with lots of enthusiasm, a good stock of original parts collected over many years and virtually a complete set of detailed drawings. We have painstakingly recreated an exact copy of a 1955 Production D-Type.
OFS 561, was originally completed in 1990 for Peter Preston Racing as a long-nose replica of the 1957 Le Man's winner driven by the Ecurie Ecosse team of Ron Flockhart and Ivor 'The Driver' Bueb.
This historic race prepared car, with Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate, is to all intents and purposes a brand new car with no more than shake-down mileage on the clock and registered 4264 WK – the works number issued to the original car when was built in March 1963.
